Taking photos is something I have always loved. My life has evolved around it and I consider myself lucky to have been able to travel to the places I have and met the people I have with this exciting career. But it's more than just a career it's a way of life. Every day I see amazing light or angles and little pictures unfold. Some of these get documented but the vast majority disappear as quickly as they began.These images are an early release from an up coming body of work. With a strong focus on the coastal elements of Australia of both present past and future. Colour has played a strong role in this series. I hope you enjoy your selected image or images as much I enjoyed taking them.
 Wood ducks
This image was taken only 50 meters from a major Northern Beaches shopping center. The mother would cross 4 lanes of traffic every day with her babies hot on her heals. All the cars would stop and let and her little ones across. It was a nerve wracking process to watch but quite an achievement. It is great to know that these little pockets of wildlife are co-existing with us in our suburbia. This image has been meticulously prepared and printed by Jamie.  Morning still Blue
This image is part of a series of images focusing on the Rock Pools of the Northern Beaches. The light on this day was spectacular. Not a breath of wind across the surface of the water. The cool blue light that was reflecting from the early morning sky was fantastic. The ethereal image reminds me of how lucky we as Australians are to have places like this on our doorstep.  Early morning swimmers
It amazes me that no matter how early I rise for my sunrise images the same group of pre dawn swimmers are at their local rock pools in their speedo's swimming their morning laps rain, hail or shine from Summer to Winter. I know sunrise pictures usually show stunning sunrises with amazing colourful light in the clouds but for me this picture really captures the true essence of what these people do every morning. The waves surging across the pools along with the stormy clouds behind paint a picture of commitment, beauty and life on the Beaches. This image has been meticulously prepared and printed by Jamie.  Shipwreck
This image is a tribute to the strength and courage of the early Australian pioneers who travelled by ship to our shores. The unforgiving coastline has claimed many lives of those who set out for a new life. As a surfer and fisherman I marvel at the strength and power of the ocean every day. This image shows a handful of survivors in such a situation. This image has won several awards and been meticulously prepared and printed by Jamie. Hand signed and matted ready for you to frame.  Salt & Sand Explosion
Growing up on Sydney's Northern Beaches has given me a fantastic opportunity to develop a relationship with the ocean. You see some thing different every day if you look close enough. The shallow use of focus with in this image invites you to explore the shapes and colours that exist is this captured moment as a wave crashes on the shore.  Liquid Moment
This image is from a series of late afternoon pictures captured on a local Sydney beach. I was inspired by the work of Jon Frank and was looking to capture images that were surreal in their nature and showed the ocean and waves in a non typical way. I love the shape and textures that occur with in these images. A liquid moment that was captures & will last forever. This image has been meticulously prepared and printed by Jamie.  Little Narra Sunrise
It is a rewarding process when you are lucky enough to be met by such amazing colours and light when photographing early morning sunrise. As you get out of bed in the dark you never quite no what will be waiting for you in an hour or so. Many morning's things just don't happen. Too much cloud or no cloud, dull light or equipment issues can bring things to a end. So when every thing comes together and you get great clouds with amazing colour and light on the right ocean tide you appreciate how lucky you were to be standing their with your camera at that very moment.
